The spokesperson for Yemen’s armed forces, General Yahya Saree, announced in a statement that, effective immediately, all vessels linked to the Zionist regime are banned from operating in the Red Sea.

Saree said the decision was taken in response to US and Israeli attacks against Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen, and in support of the “Axis of Resistance.”

He confirmed that a “total maritime blockade” has been imposed on Israel in the Red Sea, warning that any vessel movement after this announcement will face a direct and forceful response from Yemeni forces.

He further warned that any new action by the Zionist regime will be met with an even stronger response.

Saree also stated that Yemeni armed forces carried out missile strikes earlier this morning targeting sites in occupied Palestine.
