According to a report by the High Commission for Addressing the Problems of Returning Refugees, 201 families comprising 1,002 people returned to Afghanistan and were registered on Saturday through the Torkham, Spin Boldak, Pul-e Abrisham and Islam Qala crossings.
The report said 121 families, comprising 692 people, were transported to Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman, Kabul and other provinces. Meanwhile, 132 families received a total of 1.08 million afghanis in financial assistance.
The returnees also received food, healthcare and telecommunications services. Authorities distributed 114 SIM cards and provided medical treatment to 361 people.
The returnees were also given information about registration procedures, transportation, financial assistance and temporary accommodation.
