The Standards and Quality Authority said in a statement that during the solar month of Saratan 1405, it prevented the entry of 535 tons and 870 kilograms of substandard and low-quality imported goods into the country through the Islam Qala border crossing, and returned 17 cargo shipments to the exporting country.
According to the authority, the rejected goods included black cement, angle bars, gutters, steel girders, bitumen, carpets, and clothing, all of which were found to be below the required standards and therefore classified as substandard.
The Standards and Quality Authority emphasized that the process of inspecting and controlling the quality of imported goods is being carried out continuously at all border crossings, adding that no leniency will be shown toward the importation of substandard goods.
