The opposition of the current caretaker government in Afghanistan by opposing factions and groups is not only against the caretaker government but also strongly opposes the values of the Afghan people. Their entire effort is to undermine, weaken, and replace these values with other values imposed on the people and future generations. Considering their efforts, past history, and supporters, these factions largely prioritize the promotion and implementation of Western values over Islamic and Afghan values in Afghanistan.
The majority of high-ranking officials, leadership members, ordinary members, and supporters of the opposing fronts, especially the front known as the Resistance Front, openly challenge Islamic values in the first step during social media interactions and other public gatherings and meetings. A clear and minor example of this is their harsh criticism and opposition to hijab. Hijab is an Islamic and Sharia command, but the leadership members, ordinary members, and supporters of this front strongly oppose this command and even encourage people, especially women, not to observe it.
Another opposition from the leadership, ordinary members, and supporters of this front is against the historical values, norms, achievements, and sacrifices of the Afghan people, as well as the heroic struggles against invaders. This opposing front, its leadership, members, and supporters repeatedly mock, belittle, deny, and disregard the historical values of Afghanistan on social media and in various forums and gatherings. They make fun of the sacrifices of the Afghan people, ridicule their jihadist achievements, and openly engage in numerous other actions that disrespect these values.
The leadership, ordinary members, and supporters of this front continuously promote discord, distrust, prejudice, and divisions among the tribes and communities residing in Afghanistan. National unity and solidarity are a firm and important value for the people of Afghanistan, but this front and its supporters attempt to weaken, challenge, and ultimately eliminate this value. Similarly, there are dozens and even hundreds of other values of the Afghan people that this front, under the pretext and guise of opposing the caretaker government, nurtures its grievances, enmity, and opposition against.
Even more dangerously, the scent of Christianity has recently emerged from this front. Although this matter is new, efforts were previously made to keep it hidden. The opposing front, known as the Resistance, has a significant portion of its members who have either previously renounced Islam or recently converted to Christianity. Their story has now become more controversial and public than before, with open exchanges of messages about Christianity, Christian values, and the greetings and messages of goodwill for the birth of Christ. It is even said that they are making extensive efforts to convert others to Christianity alongside their work with the Resistance front, and in return, they receive substantial amounts of money from various European, American, and other churches.
The struggle, opposition, and enmity of the opposing front under the guise of resistance to the values of the Afghan people is nothing new; it has been nurtured under one name or another for a long time. However, the expansion of the roots of Christianity among them is astonishing and shocking, which all Afghans and the people of Afghanistan should be aware of. These people want to extend these roots even to Afghanistan under one name or another and to secularize the people here as well.
