Kamal Nasir Osuli, a former member of Afghanistan’s parliament from Khost, has criticized a recent closed-door meeting in Istanbul, Turkey, between leaders of opposition groups and Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Referring to the meeting, Osuli stated that armed factions and politicians supported by ISI do not serve Afghanistan’s national interests.
The gathering, which brought together former Afghan politicians of the collapsed regime and a high-ranking ISI delegation, has sparked widespread reactions. Many social and political activists, as well as former officials, have strongly condemned the discussions.
According to information obtained by Hindukosh Voice, key agenda items at the Istanbul meeting included negotiations over the disputed Durand Line, the establishment of offices for opposition groups in Pakistan, attacks on Chinese nationals, joint efforts against anti-Pakistan militant groups, and facilitating resources for opposition factions against Afghanistan’s interim government.
