Associated Press – A French official has stated that representatives from 32 countries will participate in negotiations in Paris to discuss the establishment of an international peacekeeping force for Ukraine.
A senior French military official explained that the purpose of forming this force is to prevent Russia from launching another attack on Ukraine.
According to the source, representatives from Asia-Pacific countries will attend the meeting virtually, while Britain and France will explore the creation of a force responsible for safeguarding Ukraine during a ceasefire.
The talks, involving European and some Asian countries, are scheduled to take place today (Tuesday) in Paris, both in person and online.
The official added that if Russia violates the ceasefire with an attack, this force—equipped with heavy weaponry and military stockpiles—will step in to assist in Ukraine’s defense.
