According to reports, Afghan and Pakistani traders and tribal leaders held a meeting today regarding the reopening of the Torkham Gate. As a result of the discussions, both sides have reached an agreement to reopen the gate.
Aziz Rahman, a member of the Nangarhar Chamber of Commerce and Investment and the Joint Council, stated that both parties have agreed to open the gate. A coordination meeting is scheduled for this evening to make the necessary arrangements, and the Torkham Gate is expected to open for all types of traffic tomorrow.
The gate has been closed for nearly 25 days, resulting in hundreds of trucks carrying goods being stranded on both sides.
