Opposition Groups Want to Make Afghanistan a Victim of Proxy and Competitive Wars!

The Interfax Agency reported that the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office has requested the Supreme Court to consider the issue of lifting sanctions on the Taliban. The court has accepted this petition for review and will discuss it on April 17.

Simultaneously, expatriate groups, factions, and opponents have made the topic of the caretaker government’s relations with Russia, the United States, and Iran the focal point of their writings.

In the last month, a high-ranking American delegation, including Zalmay Khalilzad and the U.S. President’s envoy on prisoner affairs, visited Afghanistan. In a gesture of goodwill and to strengthen relations, an American prisoner was released. However, just a few days later, the announced rewards for several members of the caretaker government’s leadership, including Sirajuddin Haqqani, were revoked.

On the other hand, discussions about the past and present relations between Iran and the Taliban are ongoing; the transfer of messages of war between Iran and the United States has increased recently. For this reason, former officials are sending signals to the United States, suggesting that Afghanistan is Iran’s close ally in the region, threatening U.S. interests alongside Iran. Therefore, they argue, relations with the caretaker government should also be removed.

Meanwhile, the caretaker government has advocated for a balanced policy since the beginning of its sovereignty over Afghanistan, organizing all its relations based on a balanced and neutral policy.

Afghanistan has previously been a victim of the intelligence games, proxy wars, and foreign interests of some regional and international countries, which also included one-sided or unbalanced political policies. As a result, some regimes have fallen, and Afghanistan has become a center for the implementation of foreign goals due to their perceived or unperceived presence. The caretaker government has adopted a neutral policy by learning from past experiences and does not want Afghanistan to be a victim of the games of a multipolar world again.

Afghanistan is important for Russia, the United States, Iran, China, Pakistan, and many other countries due to its strategic location. They will all take steps to align their relations with the caretaker government for their own interests. However, it can not be claimed that the caretaker government has an unbalanced policy and that the country is a victim of foreign rivalries.

But the foreign-based groups, factions, and opponents, in pursuit of their personal interests and regaining power, deliberately interpret both the world’s actions and the caretaker government’s policies and actions in such a way that they seem to be against the United States, Russia, the region, and other countries of the world, threatening their interests. However, the realities are clear; no matter how much the foreign-based opponents try to sacrifice Afghanistan for proxy and competitive wars through false propaganda, all their efforts will fail, and they will be disgraced every time, just like before.
