The National Statistics and Information Authority reports that a total of 5,196 foreign nationals visited Afghanistan during the 3rd and 4th months of solar hijri year, through both airports and land border crossings.

According to the authority, 2,901 foreigners, including 141 women entered the country during this period, while 2,295 others, including 67 women left.

Of those arriving, 2,855 came through land crossings, while 46 arrived by air. Among them, 467 traveled to visit Afghanistan’s historical and cultural sites, while the rest came for work or educational purposes.

The data indicates that the highest number of entries—1,849—were recorded at the Nimruz crossing, followed by 470 through Herat’s land crossings and airport. The remaining entries occurred via the Torkham, Hairatan, Aqina (Faryab), and Ishkashim (Badakhshan) crossings.

It is worth noting that the number of foreign visitors to Afghanistan has increased significantly since the interim government returned to power.
