PTI Politician Khurram Zeeshan: The Pakistani Government is Waging a Proxy War; As an Ordinary Citizen, I Do Not Support War with Afghan Brothers

Khurram Zeeshan, a prominent member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and a politician, has stated that the Pakistani government is waging a proxy war against Afghanistan. He emphasized that, as an ordinary Pakistani citizen, he does not support war with the Afghan people.

Referring to the government’s support for various groups and the implementation of foreign agendas, he wrote: “As a common Pakistani, I do not support fighting against Afghans, because the Pakistani government is not fighting for my benefit or that of Pakistan—it is merely pushing forward a proxy conflict.”

Ordinary citizens and some politicians in Pakistan have harshly criticized the ruling elite—especially the Prime Minister and the Army Chief—for deliberately creating tensions with neighboring countries.

Previously, PTI leader Imran Khan, who is currently imprisoned, had also urged his government in a letter to refrain from provoking conflict and creating tensions with Afghanistan.
