Sudan’s army chief, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, has once again declared that he will not engage in any negotiations with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), vowing that the war will continue until the rebellion is brought to an end.
Al-Burhan accused the RSF of killing civilians, looting, and destroying the country, stressing that dialogue would only be possible if the paramilitary group lays down its arms.
The Sudanese army further announced that military operations will persist, stating that a ceasefire cannot be implemented until the RSF has been decisively defeated.
In its latest announcement, the Sudanese army said its forces had regained control of the Kazqil area in Kordofan State from RSF militias.
