For people whose interests depend on supporting and backing a corrupt and pharaonic government, speaking of truth and justice and upholding fairness is difficult, if not impossible, because every grain of righteous speech is seen as a reflection of the destruction of their interests.
In the republican government, many individuals went on this way and, to protect or secure their own interests and benefits, joined hands with the republicans (supporters of the occupiers) and practically and verbally supported the perpetrators and instigators of all the nation’s misfortunes. Alongside protecting their personal interests, these individuals also fell into the abyss of self-righteousness and treason, playing a major role in the nation’s downfall and the country’s destruction.
As long as the foundations of the republic’s government were strong and its palace of authority stood tall, such individuals never uttered a just word in support of national interests and ensuring the nation’s future, nor did they enter these discussions, lest their own interests be harmed.
Today, with the collapse of the pro-occupation republic and the rise of a legitimate, nation-loving, and patriotic government, all the black and criminal files of the republic’s agents have been exposed to the nation, and the truth has been revealed. There is no longer any doubt that every single person in power in the republican government considered the opportunity to govern as a shop for trade, and by auctioning off the overall interests of the country, they amassed silver and gold.
But now, this same group of defectors, opponents, and those who have lost their personal interests are seeking to tarnish the clear mirror of the current government, and they want to diminish its credibility with every false pretext and conspiracy; unaware that the righteousness, correctness of actions, service, and transparency of this government are clear and obvious to the nation, and no one can claim that the box of its files is damaged and broken; of course, except for those defectors who resort to any means to find a loophole, make a spectacle of themselves, and gain an opportunity to attract attention.
Fazl Ahmad Manawi, the Minister of Justice during the Republic and a member of the Resistance Front, accused the current government of Afghanistan in its final days of fueling oppression, prejudice, and division in the country and implementing them in the name of Sharia. How surprising and astonishing it is that such words are spoken by those who were themselves the direct perpetrators of these atrocities, who lived under the banner of rebellion for a lifetime, and who, above all else, led their own people to their deaths in the name of the nation and under the banner of fanaticism, leaving countless families bereaved. Now, these same individuals have resorted to ranting because their properties have been confiscated; properties that were accumulated from the rights of the nation and placed in the pockets of specific individuals.
The action taken by the current Afghan government in the early days of its rule was to return all the properties, lands, and assets that officials and powerful individuals (strongmen) had accumulated for themselves from the national rights of the people. But this group, this good and beneficial action for the nation, has misrepresented it and is pretending that returning national assets to their original place and using them for the country’s development is wrong and mistaken.
Now, what sound mind and wisdom can gather up this disgrace of the escapees and explain the reality to them with a fair and just eye? When the human eye can not see the truth and always looks only at its own interests, it is inevitably led to speak words that are far from correct and baseless.
