The Sudanese army has announced decisive military operations against the Rapid Support Forces militia, stating that it has cleared the “Maqjah” area in Blue Nile State of the group.

Sources added that dozens of militia fighters were killed during the operations, and a number of military vehicles were also destroyed.

It was further reported that in Kordofan and Darfur, the militia’s bases, drone stations, and weapons depots have also been destroyed.

The conflict between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces militia has entered its fourth year, having so far claimed tens of thousands of lives and displaced more than 16 million people both inside and outside the country.

Reports indicate that civilians are facing arbitrary arrests, extortion, and killings, with even children being pursued over political accusations.
