Reuters has reported that Iran and the United States are holding discussions on extending the ceasefire, with the aim of initiating formal negotiations on key issues, including Tehran’s nuclear program.
According to the report, Washington maintains that Iran must not possess the capability to develop a nuclear weapon.
The report further states that although much of Iran’s uranium enrichment infrastructure was destroyed or severely damaged during Israeli and U.S. strikes in June, assessments suggest that a significant portion of Iran’s highly enriched uranium stockpile may still remain intact.
