    Fertilizer Production Plant Begins Operations in Balkh Province

    Local officials in Balkh Province report that a newly established chemical and organic fertilizer production facility has begun operations.

    The plant, set up by the Durakhshan Group at a cost of 45 million Afghanis, is expected to provide jobs for around 500 people, according to factory officials.

    Laboratory manager Mohammad Yasin Azizi said the facility has been built on 14 jeribs of land and can produce up to 200 tons of liquid and solid chemical and organic fertilizers per day.
