    Afghanistan and Uzbekistan Discuss Expanding Banking Cooperation

    In a statement, Da Afghanistan Bank announced that its First Deputy Governor, Sediqullah Khalid, met with the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, Abrar Mirza Olimov, in Kabul. During the meeting, the two sides discussed strengthening banking relations between the two countries, facilitating commercial transactions, improving the regulation of banking operations, enhancing technical cooperation, and sharing expertise.

    The statement added that Mr. Khalid emphasized Da Afghanistan Bank’s commitment to continuing financial and banking cooperation, stating that the bank will maintain close collaboration with Uzbekistan in pursuit of the mutual interests of both countries.

    The Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan also highlighted the importance of expanding banking ties and reaffirmed his commitment to continuing mutual cooperation.

    Both sides expressed hope that these efforts would further strengthen the financial and banking relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
