British YouTuber Harry Jaggard said in a video posted on his YouTube channel that Afghanistan, which for years ranked among the world’s most insecure countries, is no longer among the five most insecure countries in the 2026 Global Peace Index.
Jaggard said Afghanistan had remained near the top of the Global Peace Index for nearly a decade. However, in the 2026 ranking, Russia was ranked as the world’s most Insecure country.
According to Jaggard, Russia was followed by Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ukraine and Israel as the five most insecure countries in the world.
In a sarcastic remark, Jaggard said Afghanistan was once the kind of country where many mothers might have warned their children, “Don’t go there!” He added that Afghanistan has now moved out of the world’s five most insecure countries.
He said, “quite interestingly, two European countries are also among the world’s most insecure countries.
