Mawlawi Najibullah Hayat Haqqani, the Acting Minister of Communications and Information Technology, has departed for Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to participate in the 31st meeting of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC).
According to a statement from the Ministry’s spokesperson, Enayatullah Alokozai, the conference will address several key topics such as enhancing regional cooperation in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector, preparations for the 2025 International Telecommunication Union (ITU) World Conference, evaluation Information Society’s decisions in the World Summit, development of non-geostationary satellite systems, prevention of fraud in telecommunications systems, and the establishment of the RCC+ cooperation framework.
Mr. Alokozai added that, prior to his departure, Mr. Haqqani met with Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Oybek Usmanov, in Kabul. The two officials discussed bilateral cooperation in technology and related areas.
It is worth noting that Mawlawi Najibullah Hayat Haqqani is scheduled to address the conference participants on topics related to satellite systems, postal services, and other technological sectors.
