The Ministry of Interior has reported that officers from the Second Police District of Nangarhar province have arrested a suspect in connection with a murder case.
According to the ministry, the suspect had recently lured a man to Chaparhar district under false pretenses and fatally shot him with a pistol.
The ministry stated that the suspect threw the victim’s body into a well, which was later recovered following investigations by security forces.
It added that the suspect has confessed to the crime and has been handed over to judicial and legal authorities after initial investigations.
