Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb, Afghanistan interim government’s acting ambassador to Pakistan, has strongly condemned the recent arrests and mistreatment of Afghan refugees in Islamabad.

In response to the Pakistani police’s actions, Shakeeb stated that such measures will not resolve Pakistan’s internal challenges but will instead fuel resentment.

He emphasized his commitment to working closely with the Pakistani government to address the difficulties faced by Afghan refugees in the country.

In recent weeks, Pakistani authorities have intensified their crackdown on Afghan refugees, carrying out arrests and imposing restrictions that many consider a violation of basic human rights.
