The Embassy of Afghanistan in Qatar has announced that Afghan Ambassador Suhail Shaheen met with Rolf-Dieter Denehard, the Chargé d’Affaires of the German Embassy for Afghanistan.
According to the statement, discussions focused on bilateral relations, the provision of consular services to Afghans residing in Germany, and Germany’s humanitarian aid for Afghan refugees returning from Iran and Pakistan.
The statement also noted that Germany’s Interior Minister had previously expressed the country’s willingness to engage with Afghanistan, adding that the Berlin consulate would be handed over to the interim government of Afghanistan.
