The Afghan Consulate in Mashhad, Iran, has announced that Afghanistan’s Consul General in the city, Mawlawi Noor Mohammad Mutawakkil, held talks with Dr. Gholam Hossein Mozaffari, Governor of Iran’s Razavi Khorasan Province.
According to the consulate, the meeting focused on resolving transportation and transit challenges at the Dogharoon border crossing, accelerating the transfer of Afghan prisoners, and addressing issues surrounding compulsory insurance requirements for holders of Amayesh cards.
Both sides stressed the importance of close cooperation in tackling these challenges and agreed to pursue practical measures to resolve outstanding issues. They also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cross-border relations and enhancing cooperation along the shared border.
