On Thursday, Afghan forces carried out a mortar strike against a Pakistani militia post in Bakshi village of Tarwa district in Paktika province, along the Disputed Durand Line.

Local sources told Voice of Hindukush that the mortar rounds struck their intended target, killing four Pakistani militia members and injuring five others.

According to the sources, the bodies of those killed were transferred from a military facility to a local hospital in the Qamruddin area.

Sources added that the attack was carried out in response to Pakistani militia strikes on civilian areas on the Afghan side of the Disputed Durand Line.
