Deputy Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Herat, Rahmatullah Faizan, has strongly rejected rumors claiming that the border between Afghanistan and Iran has been closed.

In remarks to the media, he stated that the border in western Afghanistan with Irna remains open, and the movement of passengers and commercial goods is continuing normally and without any disruptions.

He added that the spread of such rumors is the work of “enemies” of both countries, aiming to damage bilateral relations and create fear among the public.
