Da Afghanistan Breshna Shirkat (DABS), the state-run power company, said its Chief Executive Officer, Mullah Abdul Haq Omari, met with Murad Ertykov, head of Turkmenistan’s TAP project, and his delegation to discuss accelerating work on the 500 kV power transmission project and implementing several other electricity projects.
The meeting focused on expediting the 500 kV project and completing it as soon as possible. The two sides also discussed completing the remaining work on the Noor-ul-Jihad substation in Herat and supplying electricity to Bala Murghab district in Badghis.
The Turkmen delegation expressed its readiness to expedite implementation of the TAP project and said an initial roadmap for the project would be approved in the near future. The delegation also pledged continued cooperation on these projects and other related development initiatives.
