The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Abdul Qahar Balkhi, announced today that Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

During the meeting, the ministers discussed various aspects of the bilateral relations between Afghanistan and the UAE. Key topics included the expansion of economic cooperation and the addressing of regional issues.

One of the primary focuses was on increasing trade between the two countries, with particular attention given to promoting Afghan products in the UAE market. Both parties agreed to undertake the necessary technical work to facilitate this process.

Minister Muttaqi also requested the UAE’s assistance in easing visa procedures for Afghan nationals. The Afghan government expressed its readiness to actively support and ensure the smooth implementation of this process.

The meeting concluded with both ministers committing to continue systematic efforts to further enhance bilateral trade and to follow up on the agreed matters.
