Ahmad Al-Sharaa, head of Syria’s interim government, said in a recent interview with a Syrian television channel that he does not fear going to war with the Zionist regime of Israel. However, he stressed that safeguarding the interests of the Syrian people and maintaining peace remain the government’s top priorities.
He noted that, to prevent further destruction, the government has chosen the path of reform over war or internal conflict.
Addressing Israel directly, Al-Sharaa remarked: “Possessing great power does not always lead to victory, just as winning one battle does not guarantee success in another. You may have the means to start a war, but controlling its outcome is far more difficult.”
