The al-Qaeda Military Wing, “Jama’a Nusrat ul-Islam wal-Muslimin,” has claimed responsibility for an attack on a military base in the Borgou region of Benin. According to a statement released by the group, the attack resulted in the deaths of four soldiers.
The statement further highlighted that the attackers seized a variety of military equipment during the operation, including one mortar, two PK machine guns, five Kalashnikov rifles, and other weapons.
