The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation announced that 66 Afghan citizens, detained in Pakistan for lacking legal documentation, were released and returned to Afghanistan yesterday.

According to the ministry, these individuals had been arrested in various regions of Pakistan and imprisoned for periods ranging from three days to a month. Upon their return, they were provided with humanitarian assistance by partner organizations and transported back to their respective provinces.

This announcement follows last week’s release and return of 172 Afghan citizens from Pakistani prisons.
