Ansar al-Sharia, the military wing of Al-Qaeda’s Islamic movement in the Arabian Peninsula, released a statement calling on Arab and Muslim countries, especially the people of Egypt and the tribes of Sinai; to provide urgent assistance to the besieged people of Gaza and to remove the forcibly imposed barrier between Egypt and Gaza.
At the same time, Ibrahim al-Banna al-Masri, a senior leader of the group, Called on the Egyptian people to wipe out the borders in support of Gaza’s population.
He also accused Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of collaborating with the Zionist regime and showing indifference toward the Palestinians.
This follows a statement by Hamas yesterday, which stated that the people of Gaza are dying of starvation and described the silence of the Arab and Islamic world on the crisis as shocking.
