The Baloch Solidarity Committee has announced that Baloch human rights activist Dr. Mah Rang Baloch has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for a second time.
The announcement comes just days after a court under Pakistan’s military authorities sentenced her to life imprisonment.
International human rights organizations have strongly condemned the ruling, saying it is an attempt to suppress the Baloch civil rights movement.
Mah Rang Baloch is internationally recognized for her peaceful campaign against enforced disappearances, human rights violations, and for advocating the rights of the people of Balochistan.
