Opposition Coalition Lasts Only 20 Hours; Jamiat Party Announces Withdrawal from Resistance CouncilShortly after several opposition parties and groups, including the Jamiat Party, announced the formation of a joint coalition under the name “National Resistance Council” yesterday evening, the Jamiat Party declared its withdrawal from the council about twenty hours later.The Jamiat Party cited the prioritization of personal interests over national interests and the repetition of past failed experiences by the Resistance Council as the reasons for its decision.This dream of unifying the opposition groups has collapsed at a time when these parties and groups are more divided than ever.
