The General Directorate of Emirati Companies has officially announced the conclusion of its agreement with the Aga Khan Foundation, which had managed the Kabul Serena Hotel for the past two decades.

In a statement, the Directorate confirmed that the contract with the Aga Khan Foundation ended on the 15th of Jumada II, 1446 AH, and that the hotel’s operations have continued without disruption for over a month under the management of a new international company.

Although the name of the new international operator has not been disclosed, the Directorate emphasized that the company has significant experience in the hospitality sector and is expected to maintain high standards in managing the hotel.

Earlier, Serena Hotels announced that it would stop its operations in Afghanistan, starting Saturday, February 1.
