    Deputy Minister of Public Health Meets Italy’s Ambassador to Afghanistan During Qatar Visit

    Mawlawi Abdulwali Haqani, Deputy Minister of Public Health for Health Services, met with Sabrina, the Ambassador of Italy to Afghanistan, during his visit to Qatar to discuss key healthcare issues.

    According to a statement from the Ministry of Public Health, Haqani underscored the importance of transparency and accountability within the healthcare sector, as well as the need to prevent delays and obstacles. He also highlighted the importance of ensuring the fair distribution of aid and its effective utilization.

    The two sides further discussed the healthcare needs of addicts and individuals with disabilities, maternal and child health, malnutrition prevention, enhancing the capacity of healthcare personnel, and expanding healthcare services at the district level.

    Haqani’s visit to Qatar was also in connection with his participation in the international conference titled “Global Initiative for the Eradication of Polio,” organized by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
