For centuries, enemies in various guises have risen up against the Afghan nation and tried different methods to overcome these free people; from long-term military wars to intellectual and cultural invasions. However, each time, it has been the mujahideen-nurturing nation of Afghanistan that has triumphed over the enemy and brought them to their knees.
The relentless efforts of the enemies of religion and country to overcome this nation have always continued and have even increased significantly more than before after the collapse of the republican regime. False propaganda and hollow claims about daily events in Afghanistan are tools that have been used repeatedly.
The destruction of Khalilullah Khalili’s tomb is one such propaganda that has been widely disseminated by media hostile to the Afghan nation and government in recent days, and has also received significant attention from fugitive politicians of the former republic regime on virtual pages and social media.
This fake news, initially published by the notorious television network “Afghanistan International,” became fodder for other media outlets that operate under the name of Afghans but serve the enemies of this nation. Each of them condemned the non-existent event in their own way and raised countless rumors about the officials of the new Afghan government.
After the truth was revealed, although some media and journalists opposed to the Islamic Emirate apologized to their audience for publishing such a big lie, “Afghanistan International” and some other opponents insisted on their initial claim and fabricated a new narrative: that the Islamic Emirate was forced to rebuild Khalili’s tombstone after media pressure!
This absurd claim, which was clearly refuted by the release of new close-up videos and images of the tomb, showed that the stone was not new but the same one from before. Like other nonsense from such media outlets, this claim is nothing more than spite against the Afghan government and the implementation of the enemies of this nation’s plans.
The question now is why such ridiculous lies and rumors are being spread and disseminated by media controlled from outside the country and are also being echoed by politicians from the previous government? What is the goal of these individuals, and what is the motivation behind the dissemination and spread of such fake news? This is a question that we will answer in the remainder of this note.
Undoubtedly, stoking ethnic, linguistic, and cultural differences is a very old trick; a ruse and deception that has been used not only since the new government came to power, but also during the collapse of the republic, to weaken the national spirit and exemplary unity of Afghans. Huge sums of money have been spent by foreigners and their domestic mercenaries to implement these dark plans.
Now, too, the notorious foreign media and fugitive politicians have made their predecessors’ path their guiding principle, using the dissemination of any false and baseless news to fuel ethnic and linguistic divisions, hoping perhaps to sow discord among this always united nation and once again seize their destiny.
However, it is worth remembering that this nation, with its golden record, just as it stood firm against the relentless conspiracies of the occupiers, will not succumb to the sinister plots of the mercenaries either, and will never allow the false dream of these infamous figures to become a reality.
