On the 10th of Hoot 1398 (February 29, 2020), the Doha Agreement was signed between the Taliban and the United States in Qatar; an agreement that heralded a bright future for Afghanistan.

The people of Afghanistan still consider this day a turning point in the contemporary history of Afghanistan and the beginning of the collapse of the warlords’ dominance over this country.

The warlords, who for twenty years, with the support of foreigners, held Afghanistan and its people captive and inflicted various sufferings and hardships on this oppressed nation.

In the twenty years of occupation, the people of this land suffered more from the self-proclaimed leaders who once called for jihad and considered themselves the vanguards of the struggle and resistance against foreigners.

Those same individuals, under the guise of religion and jihad, opened shops for themselves and sold their dignity and honor for American green dollars and government positions.

Although this agreement was officially signed with the Americans, no one can deny the fact that the downfall of the warlords and the corrupt leaders of the Republic was inevitable without the support of their foreign masters.

The signs of the Republic’s collapse emerged rapidly the day after the signing of the agreement; just one year and six months later, the corrupt administration of the Republic was shattered and thrown into the abyss of history.

Although the Doha Agreement provided an opportunity for dialogue among Afghans, but the warlords’ arrogance, their thirst for power, and their deep ties to the corruption of the republic deprived this opportunity, leading to the continuation of war. As a result, the entire system collapsed, and the fake leaders sought refuge in the arms of their foreign masters.

Ultimately, by signing the Doha Agreement, the United States acknowledged its defeat. With the fall of Kabul’s corrupt regime, security was established throughout the country, corruption and injustice came to an end, and Afghans regained their dignity.
