The Resistance Front, by using terminology such as democracy, human rights, and inclusive governance, seeks to portray itself as aligned with American values. This group deliberately uses such language to present itself as an ideological ally of the United States, aiming to gain international support, legitimacy, and possibly even foreign intervention.
The leaders of the Resistance Front consistently highlight issues such as women’s rights, minority protection, and freedom of expression in international media because these are politically valuable themes for American politicians and policymakers. They try to present themselves as defenders and promoters of democratic values and civilization in order to attract support from the West.
Contrary to all Islamic and international laws, the United States carried out an illegitimate invasion of Afghanistan. Along with it came corruption, injustice, illegal detentions, violation of values, suppression of independence, raids, bombings, and various other atrocities. As a result, Afghans faced a major catastrophe, of which a significant portion was due to the very leaders of this Northern alliance (Leaders of opposition groups), who held the triggers of American guns against the chests of the Afghan people, tearing them apart.
When this so-called imaginary front seeks foreign support and assistance to gain power, and intends to commit atrocities against the people with their help—killing thousands in a single day—do they not remember the devastating twenty-year tragedy? Or do they justify everything for the sake of quenching their thirst for power? Why doesn’t the Resistance Front consider such events as violations of human rights or as real catastrophes?
These people were the very supporters and allies of the American occupation who trampled Islamic and national values and did everything in their power to stabilize the occupation. Yet, the result was nothing but a shameful legacy left to history, just like before. Today, they praise even the smallest gesture from the West, hoping to cover up the real catastrophe and to dilute or erase their atrocities from the public’s memory.
The people and educated youth must seriously consider that the expenses for the Resistance Front’s activities, international travels, and campaigns are not paid from the Afghan people’s pockets—nor do Afghans have the means to finance such a proxy group long-term. These costs are covered through intelligence-designed projects by foreign spy agencies, which pursue strategic goals in Afghanistan.
Intelligence and historical evidence show that from the First Resistance to the Second One, the Resistance Front has been politically, financially, militarily, and intelligence-wise supported at different times by France, India, Iran, the United States, and Pakistan. They were and are funded and equipped by these countries, as evident from their overt and covert travels to various nations, aiming to reunite former pro-republican elements and line them up against the current interim government. However, despite these efforts over the past four years, they have yielded no meaningful results—and are unlikely to do so in the future.
In the past, under the name of justice, the Resistance Front committed injustices that modern Afghan history is ashamed to record. For them, justice means returning their faction to power and prioritizing personal and organizational interests.
The Resistance Front’s roots lie within the framework of the Northern Alliance, which ruled under America’s shadow for the past twenty years and is considered responsible for numerous war crimes. Its composition, along with many of its formal and informal statements, often revolves around the interests of a single ethnic group and represents only that group.
From the past and present activities of the Resistance Front, it is evident that the Resistance Front, under the banner of freedom, serves foreign interests. It is a political and intelligence-driven project backed by external spy agencies, former warlord leaders, ethnic factions, and intelligence agendas.
