According to Turkey’s state news agency, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has urged for the expansion of trade, investment, and financial cooperation among Islamic countries.
The report adds that, speaking at the Second Global Islamic Economy Summit in Istanbul, Erdogan emphasized that Islamic banking can play a significant role in addressing global economic challenges by offering ethical, fair, and sustainable solutions.
President Erdogan also expressed his support for interest-free banking and advocated for reforms in the financial transaction system.
