According to a report by News18, Etihad Airways has dismissed 15 Pakistani employees in Abu Dhabi, giving them just 48 hours to leave the country.
Sources said the workers were not processed through standard administrative channels. Instead, they were directly referred to immigration authorities, where they received formal notices instructing them to exit the UAE without delay.
Relations between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan have grown increasingly strained in recent days. The UAE has also reportedly moved to recover billions of dollars in loans from Pakistan on an urgent basis.
Analysts say these developments point to a particularly sensitive phase in bilateral relations, with the potential for further changes in the coming days.
