Al Jazeera has reported that five people were killed in an armed attack on an Islamic center in San Diego, California, which is also the largest mosque in the area.
Sources said the killed included two attackers, one security guard, and two other individuals.
Police stated that after opening fire, the attackers shot themselves, and their bodies were later found inside a vehicle.
San Diego police and the FBI have launched investigations to determine the motive behind the incident.
The head of the Islamic center described the attack as shocking and said targeting a mosque is a deeply concerning act.
