Bloomberg reports that five U.S. service members were injured within the past 24 hours after an Iranian ballistic missile was intercepted near a U.S. airbase in Kuwait, with falling debris causing the injuries.
According to the report, the incident took place at Al-Salem Air Base, where air defense systems intercepted the missile; however, fragments have fallen inside the base perimeter.
The report further states that two MQ-9 Reaper drones were also severely damaged in the incident.
The U.S. Department of War previously reported that, since the start of the ongoing conflict, 14 American personnel have been killed and 409 others injured.
