Former Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan, Mawlawi Abdul Salam Zaeef, says that certain active groups abroad are seeking opportunities and have remained silent over the Pakistani military regime’s attack on Kabul for that reason.

He added that if these groups are truly concerned about rebuilding Afghanistan, they should return to their homeland.

According to Mr. Zaeef, these groups are clapping for small opportunities (like Pakistan’s attack), which is harmful to the country and its people.

He further stated that if they are genuinely striving for Afghanistan’s unity, progress, and self-sufficiency, then they should come back to the country. He expressed confidence that they would be able to live a dignified life in Afghanistan.

Mr. Zaeef made these remarks at a time when some groups active on social media outside the country—who openly oppose the Afghan government—have shamelessly supported Pakistan’s aggression against Afghan territory.
