Ata Mohammad Noor, former governor of Balkh during the former republic and now a member of the leadership of the so-called Resistance Council, has called on the leaders of the groups of evil and corruption not to sacrifice their youth in proxy wars for the satisfaction and fame of foreign powers.
Referring to the Nuristan incident in a post on X, Noor said, “Do not send youths to their deaths for the satisfaction of others.”
Noor said Afghanistan’s experience of the past 45 years of war shows that change in the country should not be pursued through the “proxy forces and infantry” of foreign powers.
He stressed that Afghan youth should not be sacrificed in proxy wars waged by foreign powers and that independent action by Afghans should be the guiding principle in determining the country’s future.
