According to local sources, four Pakistani soldiers were killed and two others injured in an attack in the Mastung area of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan.

Reports indicate that the late-night attack was carried out by unidentified gunmen, who also took the weapons of the killed soldiers before fleeing the area.

No armed group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far. However, similar attacks in the past have been claimed by Baloch separatist groups.

It is worth noting that just a day earlier, seven Pakistani soldiers were killed in an attack by the Pakistani Taliban in North Waziristan.
