French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot has indicated that France may send some military troops to Greenland in response to the potential threat of an American attack.
This statement comes just days after Germany warned the U.S. not to attempt any military assault in Greenland.
France and Germany’s moves follow remarks by former U.S. President Donald Trump, who described Greenland as vital to U.S. security and expressed intentions to bring the territory under American control.
