Reuters reported that Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that if European countries attack Russia, the resulting war with Europe would be “very short,” and Moscow would use all of its available military capabilities, including nuclear weapons.
Zakharova said that Russia is not threatening European countries, but according to her, Moscow has the necessary capabilities to deter any potential attack and defeat the aggressor.
She made these remarks amid heightened tensions between Russia and European countries over the war in Ukraine and Western military support for Kyiv. Reports say that Moscow has warned that it could use nuclear weapons in the event of a potential blockade of Kaliningrad.
