    France Continues Its Support for Afghanistan’s Health Sector

    The Deputy Minister of Public Health for Health Services Delivery, Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, met with the French Chargé d’Affaires for Afghanistan during his visit to Qatar.

    The spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Health said that the meeting discussed the ongoing needs of Afghanistan’s health sector, its achievements, and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

    Mr. Haqqani called for long-term support for Afghanistan’s health sector, particularly for further strengthening technical coordination within the framework of the “FMIC” Hospital.

    The meeting, which was also attended by the Afghan Ambassador to Qatar, additionally discussed capacity building for Afghan doctors, their professional development, and the deployment of French doctors to Afghanistan.

    Meanwhile, the French Chargé d’Affaires emphasized his country’s commitment to supporting Afghanistan’s health sector and stated that France would continue its cooperation through the “FMIC.”
