Officials from the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment report a notable increase in the province’s export of domestic and agricultural goods this year.

In the first five months alone, Herat exported 25,876 tons of various products, valued at around $54 million, to countries across Asia and Europe.

This marks a 14 percent rise compared to the same period last year.

Merchants and investors in Herat credit the growth to the support and facilitation provided by the Afghan government and other relevant authorities in promoting trade and exports.
