The Herat provincial governor’s media office reported that around 600 sweets and pastry production factories are currently operating throughout the province.
According to the source, these factories have created employment opportunities for around 7,000 people.
The statement added that the facilities produce a wide range of items, including cakes, traditional pastries, cream-filled cakes, and various other types of confectionery.
