During his speech at the Eid al-Fitr prayer, the leadership of the interim government emphasized the unity between the Emirate and the people, urging the public not to fall for foreign, harmful propaganda. The leadership called on the people to view the Emirate as their own and themselves as an integral part of it.
The leadership further addressed the public, stating, “You are not separate; you are the people of the government, you are the people of the Emirate. I strongly oppose the notion of a division between Emirate members and non-Emirate members. I say, we are all part of the Emirate. We are united, and I respect your jihad.”
The leadership also urged the public to continue the efforts they made over the past twenty years in resisting occupation and securing independence. The leadership encouraged them to maintain that same commitment and struggle towards strengthening this system for dozens of more years to come.
